The academic activities started in the session 2004-2005. Traditionally, the process of admission starts in the 3rd quarter and class starts in January each year. The MBBS course is divided into 4 parts: Pre-clinical (1.5 years), Para-clinical- 1 (1 years), Para-clinical- 2 (1 years) and Clinical (1.5 years) followed by 1 year compulsory internship. A student receives the MBBS degree after successful completion of all exams within the schedule period and norms set by the University of Dhaka and BMDC jointly. We follow the same course curricuIum as that of government medical colleges do, jointly formulated by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW), University of Dhaka (DU) and Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC). Since the beginning of our journey a number of our students are getting honours marks in different subjects in examinations under Dhaka University. With the development of professional and technical aspects, ISMC is growing continuously. We hope to place ISMC on top, as a centre of excellence in education and profession.
